British Wax Pencil
Garment Marking Wax Pencil (also known as London Wax Pencils) is suitable for marking lines on wool fabrics.
Made in the U.K by Hancock's of London in Dorset.
This family business was established in 1867 and originally manufacturerd tailors crayons and pipe clay. The company has now been run by five generations of the Sandwith family since 1904. They still produce tailors chalk and waxes and are dedicated to sourcing their raw materials from the U.K.
Suitable for marking when:
- preparing to darn a hole
- drawing a guide line for hemming
- sewing on buttons
Marks are usually removed from the material with a warm iron.
Be sure to test the marker on a spare piece of fabric (or discreet area) before using to ensure that you can remove the mark after completing your work.
Tip! If you're planning to mark an intricate design then we would recommend using a Frixion pen or Chaco chalk pen.
